certified teevee junkie

My worst weakness is procrastination. I can't explain how busy I am now and how precious my 24 hours are! But I'm giving myself thirty minutes (or an hour maybe) to do this nonsense stuff. Hee!

I am in hiatus as a TV/DVD addict right now (I'm currently "busy" doing "something" for a "sacred-fruit" company. Haha!). I need to sleep actually, get some rest, wake up early tomorrow (Sunday) and start working again. But I just want to do this. Umm... forty-five minutes! And I'll shut this computer off, disconnect from the web and hibernate..zzZZhhHH!!!

OKAY. The last TV series talk I did here was Veronica Mars. I don't have the time and passion right now to make a lengthy and devoted post for my other TV obsessions - Lost and Prison Break (PB). But I'm going to write quick reviews. No one says I need to do this but I feel obligated. I don't know why. And let me add Grey's Anatomy (GA) too!

GREY'S ANATOMY

I still can't consider myself being "obsessed" and "super-hooked" with Grey's Anatomy but I loved it - though not the same level of love I had for Lost and PB. It's probably because I hated the lead character - no one else but Meredith aka "Meh" (because she's boring) or "Merebitch" (too mean to say this.. but she is the real bitch, sorry) GREY. It is an awesome show nevertheless. The dialogues are smart and witty. The writers did a good job in creating such a varied and unique characters/casts. They were also able to establish interesting yet somewhat complicated relationships between characters.

Favorite characters: Bailey (Everyone loves her! Asteeg!) and Addison (Initially, we are supposed to hate her. But the writers made this contrabida-looking doctor likeable. Love her.)

Favorite relationship: Cristina and Burke (I am not squeeing over the tandem but I love how they compliment each other.)

Favorite hunk: McSteamy! (His character is Mark Sloan. I had to google that name because I can't remember it. Hehe. I think he appeared in one or two episodes only but he is crucial to the Meh-Derek-Addison/McDrunky-McDreamy-McDevil triangle. McVet, though he also deserves some woOot, falls under the category "very cute".)

Least favorite character: Meh (Are you still shocked? Haha! I also don't like the actress, Ellen Pompeo. Sometimes, I think she looked really hot..in some angles maybe. But most of time, she got me irritated.)

Favorite lines: Bailey and Cristina lines but notably this.. "Stop looking at my vajayjay!" Wahaha!

Scenes/Substories:

Funniest: (This is pretty tough) Meh, Izzie and Cristina trying to inject something on George (Yes, that STD episode... very funny!!!)

Most irritating: Izzie crazily falling in love over Deney (I know many fell in love with their story. I was not an anti-Izzie/Denny but it came to a point when I was like..."Duh..OA na.."

Touching: I hate Meh but that bomb episode (with guest Christina Ricci)... I think she did great in there. And.. Burke being shot..

Awwww moment: Alex carrying/comforting Izzie when Denny died. Alex was very bitchy and inhumane in Season 2. Not that he was able to redeem himself there. I still did not like what he did. But I can't help but still have that "Awwww" feeling when he comforted Izzie.

GA was not as addictive as other series but it's very amusing. I love its comic and wacky side. I used to hate hospitals but now I look at it differently.

And lastly, my cheer... "Go Team Addison!"

LOST

I got hooked in this series than any other shows but I don't think I'd be saying a lot this time. Hehe. JJ Abrams is a fantabulous writer! I love Felicity and Alias too, you know. But it's different. It's mind-boggling and the mysteries are evolving. The show is open to wide speculations, predictions, theories and interpretations.

There is always something likeable and not likeable about the characters. Actually, I can't decide who my most favorite character really is. It's so hard to choose.

I had a fling with Boone. (Those eyes....waaah!) I also love his story with Shannon. I mourned that night when I saw the episode when he died (Dang! File not found!).

Sawyer lines are downright funny. Kate is beautiful. Jack is a hero, but he needed to lessen his controlling/dominating attitude. I love Claire and Charlie's bloody accent. I like Sayid (not Shayid). Mr. Eko's story was touching. Ana Lucia is the most hateable character ever. Good thing she was killed. Baaybee Aaron is cute. I hope I won't see Michael again in Season 3!

PRISON BREAK

Love love love this show! It is quite similar to Shawshank Redemption, one of my all-time favorite movies. It's the most addictive. Having to break a marathon session is such a hard thing to do because I was always eager to know what would happen in the next episodes.

WENTWORTH MILLER. Rowrr!! I love his acting actually, despite some comments I read about him being a little bit emotionless.

The Michael Scofield-Dr. Sara Trancedi story made me squee. Tee Hee! Their relationship is the most different I've seen so far on TV. Silent flirtations are the sexiest!! Haha! Great acting by Wentworth and Sarah Wayne Callies. The dialogues aren't too lovey-dovey. Oh gosh, and they're both pretty. Sarah actually reminds me of Natalie Portman, just more mature and taller. Haha.

I like the casts too: Abruzzi, T-Bag, Sucre (Oh Maricruz!), C-Note and the rest of the gang.

I am patiently reading recaps now (S2). I wish I could download the epsiodes... :(
