The Cast of "The Office" - EW Cover

WOW Wow Wow. The cast of The Office aka "best. show. ever" is featured in a special edition of Entertainment Weekly. (Stole these pix from JJ. :p) I'm in fangirl mode again...

I don' t know what happened to Jim and Pam. I only saw like 14 episodes of Season 3. And Season 4 has already premiered in the US. No, I won't read the spoilers. I'll wait for the dibidis to come out. Haha. Karen is very pretty. But I'll forever be rooting for Jim and Pam. Jam FTW! Hihi. And since I can't see the difference between fact and fiction and off-screen and on-screen, I am also rooting for John and Jenna. (Jenna and her real-life hubby just got separated y'all!)

My other favorite office couple - Ryan and Kelly.

Kelly is awesome (in an annoying way). She's so bubbly and yeah.. annoying. Hehe.
Mindy Kaling and BJ Novac are not just good actors. They're great writers too. Yes, writers!

Whathewjkzxwmlwqapkd!!! John Krasinski, you are so hot!

Swarovski, SOS, Grey's and Idols

I found this article in a fansite (secreet ha!)... originally from Earth Times.

Swarovski Unveils Celebrity-Designed Denim Jackets to Benefit SOS Children's Villages In Support of World Orphan Week (October 1-7, 2007)

Author : Swarovski

NEW YORK, Sept. 20 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Swarovski, the world leader in precision-cut crystal, has partnered with a group of creative celebrities to raise funds for SOS Children's Villages, the world's largest charity for orphaned and abandoned children. Celebrities including Jessica Alba, Laila Ali, Eric Dane, Rebecca Gayheart, Angie Harmon, Finola Hughes, Stacy London, Reba McEntire, Katharine McPhee, Sara Ramirez, Jordin Sparks, Carrie Underwood and Vanessa Williams took part in this worthwhile endeavor.

"I am happy and proud to be working with Swarovski to help raise awareness and money for SOS Children's Villages. SOS is providing orphans around the world with what they need most -- a family. Their work is extraordinary," says Katharine McPhee of American Idol fame.

Beginning September 25, each of the fashionable creations will be featured on eBay Giving Works and can be found at eBay: Swarovski The charity auction will end on October 5.

World Orphan Week began in 2005 to create awareness of the global needs of orphaned and abandoned children around the world, and to activate volunteers to raise funds for vital programs that can support these children.

"By 2010 there will be more than 25 million orphaned and abandoned children around the world. SOS Children's Villages and Swarovski believe in providing the vital care these children need to grow and flourish in their communities. During World Orphan Week, I hope everyone will take a minute to make a difference in the life of a child," says Finola Hughes, General Hospital's" Anna Devane and host of The Style Network's popular makeover series "How Do I Look."

Replicas of these crystal creations will tour selected Swarovski stores from September 15th to October 5th. Store locations that will feature the jackets include:

-- Rockefeller Center in New York, NY
-- 625 Madison Avenue in New York, NY
-- Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT
-- Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, IL
-- Century City in Los Angeles, CA
-- Tysons Corner Center in McLean, VA.

Each of the jackets was designed using a combination of Swarovski brooches and iron-crystal transfers, ranging from a celestial theme from Reba McEntire to a floral theme from Carrie Underwood.

"SOS Children's Villages is thrilled to be partnering with Swarovski for World Orphan Week. Swarovski understands the needs of orphaned children around the world, and with their sponsored charity auction of one-of-a-kind celebrity designed jackets, they have joined us in an important way to make a difference to children who have lost everything," says Dr. Heather Paul, CEO of SOS-USA.

The partnership between SOS and Swarovski dates back to the founding of SOS in the Tyrol region of Austria (also home of Swarovski's world manufacturing headquarters) in 1949. The company's founder, Daniel Swarovski I, was a humanitarian who personally supported the charity and the crystal maker is happy to have continued the relationship through today.

"Swarovski is proud to continue our relationship with SOS Children's Villages's through their World Orphan Week campaign. By contributing to SOS Children's Villages, Swarovski encourages hope for orphaned children around the world," says David Gruning, Director of Communications for Swarovski North America Limited.

SOS, Katharine, Carrie, Mcsteamy and (okay.. I don't have them but it's their project) Swarovski in one article... wow, color me surprised!

I am not an orphan but SOS (or SOS Children's Village) did play an important role in my life. Not all villages have scholarship programs, I think, but SOS-Davao has! I was one lucky kid and I was given that scholarship grant after I graduated pre-school. So they basically financed my education from Grade 1 until I finished college! It's a mother-and-child program and we had to join a lot of social activities and stuff. Unlike other scholarship programs, the grades we had to maintain weren't that high. During my time, we only had to maintain at least 80% average with no failing subjects. It's no biggie right? And I don't want to sound cocky, but I was a very grade-conscious student. During college, I had group of friends who were very focused, naturally intelligent and achievers. So it really helped a lot :-)

I owe my education to SOS. And I really value education a lot. Without it, where would I be now?

And it's sooo good to hear that the people you idolize support the foundation that has become an important part of your life. Carrie, Katharine, Mcsteamy (and your naughty wife hahah)... I love you 100x more now! I mean it...from the bottom of my heart! Jessica Alba, Vanessa Williams, Reba, and others... you're beautiful people too. And Swarovski...of course you're the prettiest. LOL.

So Small - Carrie Underwood

Gah I love this song. Cheesy?! Too dramatic?! Nah..I don't care what people say. I love songs that inspire. And.. it's Carrie Underwood singing. Shall I explain more? She's my ultimate "American Idol" y'know!

SO SMALL

What you got if you ain't got love
the kind that you just want to give away
its okay to open up go ahead and let the light shine through
i know it's hard on a rainy day
you want to shut the world out and just be left alone
but don't run out on your faith

'cause sometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand
what you've been up there searching for forever is in your hands
when you figure out love is all that matters after all
it sure makes everything else
seem so small

it's so easy to get lost inside
a problem that seems so big at the time
it's like a river thats so wide it swallows you whole
while you sit around what you can't change
and worrying about all the wrong things
time's flying by moving so fast
you better make it count 'cause you cant get it back

sometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand
what you've been up there searching for forever is in your hands
when you figure out love is all that matters after all
it sure makes everything else
seem so small

sometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand
what you've been up there searching forforever is in your hands
when you figure out love is all that matters after all it sure makes everything
else seem so small
oh it sure makes everything else
seem so small
Yeah, Yeah

Am I worrying about all the wrong things right now? Hmm..

Video is available here. But it's not the official one. It's fan-made, obviously. I saw the official video yesterday but Youtube already removed it. Boo.

And I don't know how to post videos here. Multiply >>> Blogger... seriously, for dummies like me.

Rant

You guys.. where are you??!! I want an answer. This is totally depressing....

We need to know what's happening. Can't say it? Argh.

This whole thing hasn't been easy. Man... not at all. I can't believe it... it's been almost a year! And NOTHING is happening! Am I too impatient??? Is it not enough?! I don't know what to do now.

I am sad. WE are.

Just let us know... and be honest. That's just what I'm asking. Don't let us wait for nothing. Please. I am sooo close to giving up.

Expiry Date for Marriages....Seriously?!

Glamorous politician wants law to allow 7-year itch

"The basic approach is wrong ... many marriages last just because people believe they are safe," she told reporters. "My suggestion is that marriages expire after seven years."
Umm.. oh no.

Kathy Griffin's Jesus remark cut from Emmy show

"A lot of people come up here and thank Jesus for this award. I want you to know that no one had less to do with this award than Jesus," an exultant Griffin said, holding up her statuette. "Suck it, Jesus. This award is my god now."

Kathy Griffin is a very funny woman. But this statement is just unacceptable, whether or not you're a believer. I randomly read this reaction from msjane1961. And she said it perfectly.

I remember an actor who made a public gay slur and I think he was fired. I remember another comedian who made racial remarks during a standup act and he was sued and barred from ever returning to that club. Why is this any different? This is a religious slur. An insult to Jesus is an insult to His Church. This is Catholic-bashing. If this woman's actions were looked at from the same "politically correct" angle as the actions of the above examples, she would be banned from the Emmys or lose her Emmy. Why is it okay to slur Catholics and not other classes of people?
She coudn't have said it better.

Can't beat quality of life in Scandinavia, says world ranking

Nordic countries take the greatest care of their environment and their people, according to a ranking published on Thursday by the publication Reader's Digest.

I am depressed y'all. And this news just made it worse. Nevermind, you wouldn't understand it.
